Tax question

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by RedHotChiliPrepper, Feb 5, 2013.

  1. I bought a laptop in December to use for work. Work provided laptops for us to use, but they're the little netbooks and I just needed something bigger and faster.

Can I write off the purchase of my laptop on my taxes? I probably use the laptop for work purposes about 80 percent of the time.

Any help anyone might have is greatly appreciated.

    Yes.

But for this and about a thousand other reasons, you should have your taxes done professionally. Best $200 you'll spend all year.
