    Wife has a tiny Death Star on her breast.
    I had to work to be able to see that one. :p

    When I got my first tattoo, there was a young guy in Electric Ladyland II getting a tattoo of Jimmy Buffet's face — on his ass. He had, like, five or six others, and it seems he got them to commemorate particularly nice concerts he'd been to.

    Neither of mine hurt much except when they got really close to the armpit.

    I've probably already said this, but I always wanted a tattoo.
    However, I'm just to old now at 48.
    Past about 22-23, it seems kind of silly to get a tattoo.
    I don't begrudge people older than that getting one. Too each their own.
    Although I'd still like one, I'd just feel silly at my age.

    Pretty much feel the same way.

    I got one in my 20s (lost a bet with a buddy that's a tattoo artist) and had it removed after about 15 years. The removal process sucks (painful and expensive) so be pretty dadgum sure that you're going to be happy with it down the road.

    A local tattoo shop is holding a fundraiser this weekend where proceeds go to a local charity, so I had been planning on getting my third tattoo. Found out today our house has a plumbing issue that will probably require a bathroom to be torn up and remodeled, so no new ink for me right now.

    When I got my first, at age 60, I asked my son to level with me: Am I too old? He said, "Dad, you're at the fuck it age. Fuck it what anyone else things. You do you. You want one, you get one." So I got one, then added two more. Fuck it. They don't show when I'm dressed and I like them.

    Maybe eventually I'll get one on my big bald head. I have two more planned now.
