I know this was mentioned on the NHL thread, but the oddness of this merits its own thread. (Yes, and also because I'm a shameless Wild fan girl.)

Fire destroys much of Wild hockey gear

As a former goalie, I really feel for both Nikolas Backstrom and Josh Harding, who both lost all their equipment.

The game, as of right now, against Ottawa tonight is still on.

 

Break out some North Stars' throwbacks and have the players do the Goldy Shuffle after they score.

 

We would have also accepted the thread title:

Man, the Wild are on fire this year

The girl who walked in the room, saw the flames and reacted this way:

"She ran, calling 'Wild fire!'"

 

I assume the nine players whose belongings survived had to move them somewhere else for safekeeping. I now wonder where the Wild's things are.
