KABUL, Afghanistan - The bullet-riddled body of a South Korean hostage was found by police Wednesday in central Afghanistan after a purported Taliban spokesman (Mohammed Tony al-Snow ?)said the militants had killed one of the captives.

The male victim had 10 bullet holes in his head, chest and stomach, and was discovered in the Mushaki area of Qarabagh district in Ghazni province, said police officer Abdul Rahman.

The Taliban spokesman said earlier that the hostage was was killed because Afghan authorities hadn't met their demands to release other militants from prison.

The Taliban live up to their reputation for savagery yet again.

There hasn't been any reaction -- positive, negative or indifferent -- from anyone in the news stories online. But jump the gun if you'd like.
  5. Gee, I thought we'd whipped the Taliban and installed Ahmad Coneco...er...Karzai as the beloved new head of state.
Couldn;t be we took our eye off the fucking ball too much, could it?

Do ya get the feeling that your basic al queda and taliban recruit would rather be in Gitmo or Abu Grav then face discipline in their own organization?
