First time you get on a treadmill, start with the 15 incline.

It will never be that hard again. Then build from there.

At my gym, there's a treadmill that goes up to 30 percent incline.

The workout on it goes with 2 minutes at 5 percent, 2 at 8 percent and 1 at 10 percent as a warmup. Then three rounds of 1 minute at 15, 1 at 18, 30 seconds at 20, 1 minute at 22, 1 at 25 and 30 seconds at 30 percent. When I do it, I try to stay at 3.0 mph for the whole thing, and the sweat rolls.

This past weekend, I split about two cords of wood for my in-laws (with a log splitter), but lifting 20-lb to 60-lb logs for about five hours was a pretty good workout.

I just got asked to be an emergency fill-in for a Santa, so that's a pretty tough thing to take.

Just did 1,150 calories. I'm going to try to go for 2,000 soon. I used to hit 2,000 a day regularly in Trenton before falling off the horse again.

The next A1c test is soon. With everything I've done it should be well below 5.9.

Benched with 70 pound dumbbells last night, which was cool. Four sets of between 4-5 reps. (Heavy day.) I weigh around 150.

Has anyone here ever had very badly swollen neck lymph nodes?

I was fighting a massive cold, cough, etc, crap last week, felt better over the weekend but woke up at 2 AM yesterday feeling like I was rapidly growing a goiter.

    Lupus?

Go have a strep test at your doctor. Neck lymph nodes swell when that's present.

Two weeks into this. Tested positive for mono antibodies. But no active mono. Strange.

I looked like Jabba the Hutt over the past week.

Going to my primary care doc today.

78 minutes of elliptical/treadmill, 1,400 calories. The first 30 minutes of the treadmill were 3.5 speed at 15 incline. I was drenched.

    Probably my best day #bloodsugar-wise:

    114: after waking up
    114: after breakfast
    108: after lunch
    94: at 5 o'clock (a new low score)
    117: after dinner
