Genesis is fair game! He was in the band!

I know you're a huge Genesis fan, Sam, but you're Taking It All Too Hard.

Maybe so. I know It's Gonna Get Better.

When Najeh Davenport was caught in the act, did people slam the Packers? Or Brett Favre? Not really. Slamming Genesis indicts, however indirectly, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks. And they shouldn't be drug through the mud for Phil's marital troubles. But Seriously ... I know that's really picking nits, but still ...

    That's All. :)

I will indict Rutherford, Banks, Hackett, Gabriel, et al, by proxy to keep alive a silly Phil Collins pun thread alive if humor calls for it! The collateral Genesis damage will be vast, not unlike The Battle Of Epping Forest.

Did I wikipedia that song title up just for the sake of this post? Please Don't Ask.

    Whodunnit? You did, Bubs. :)

At least you admitted to looking it up. Your sense of humor would probably chuckle at the name of the album from which "The Battle of Epping Forest" originated.

Now when you come up with punchlines using "The Fountain of Salmacis," "The Return of the Giant Hogweed" and "Can-Utility and the Coastliners," we'll know just how far you're reaching.

    Gotta go. Supper's Ready.

I'll go a step further, Sam.

Take all the stocks, bonds and investments
And hide it all in an off-shore account
By now the lawyers will be close at hand
Dont believe the press and the paparazzi
    And everything they tell you
Believe me, the third time was not the charm

    :D :D :D

"Silent Running" was Mike + The Mechanics, BYH. Rutherford isn't the one with marital troubles.

    Good work, though.

You're no wife, you're no wife of mine

You're no wife, you're no wife of mine

No pre-nup, you get half what's mine

And you're no wife, you're no wife of mine

For all the Genesis and solo spinoffs - save for Phil himself - how about jokes involving:

    One More Night
    This Must Be Love
    If Leaving Me Is Easy
Why Can't It Wait 'Til Morning
Do You Know, Do You Care?

The one for "I Missed Again" was pretty good.
This thread has a Long, Long Way To Go.

Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I know it was Mike & The Mechanics. :D You were the one telling us not to drag Mike and tony into it, so I figured I'd go a step further and drag Mike's side band into the Glen Quagmire!
