Taco Bell is part of YUM foods which owns KFC, A&W, Long John Silver's and Pizza Hut. Pepsico owned the division until 1997 when it spun-off the group into a new company called Tricon. Changed to YUM about 2003.

I saw the commercial this evening. It wasn't very convincing.

Chuck, I would have considered going to BWW too, but it's too f-ing packed near my place. I'm heading to the new local bar/restaurant down the street. The onion rings are alright, but I wished they didn't pack a box full of them on the plate. I'm not interested in contributing and being blamed for global warming with the Jersies and the Holsteins.

really? I wanted to make a run for the border tonight for dinner....but was concerned I might die from ecoli poisoning, 2 seconds later the President of Taco Bell, not some regional manager, is telling me everything is cool. I threw on my sombrero, grabbed $3.76 in spare change and bought 17 hard shell tacos.

I'm still alive......and hoping for some irregularity in my bowl movements, I'm crazy like that.

Frank, jump on the trademark for this bowl quickly. ESPN and/or Corporate American could steal it for the upcoming month.

Just say 'No' to homogenized chain eateries. Tacos and burritos should come from the tacqueria or the taco truck.
I'm curious how any of this Taco Bell stuff even came to light. There's got to be at least 100 people getting sick from eating Taco Bell every day. How did anybody realize there was anything unusual going on?

Who remembers the original Taco Bell jingle?

    "Come to Tacotacotacotacotacotacotacotaco-Taco Bell"

    There's a place

    In San Anton'

    Where I can go

    And not feel alone!

    Taco Land

    It's a panacea

    Taco Land

They're always glad to see ya

    You'll understand

    When you go on

    Down to Taco Land

    When I feel

    My world is lost

    I go to Taco Land

    And I get really tossed!

I wish my band would always play

Taco Land, I want to stay

    You'll understand

    When you go on

    Down to Taco Land

There's a girl with dirty hair

She's got her dress up in the air

She tells a lot of jokes

Hell, she's got a lot to share

    Taco Land

We ate a lot of figs

    They passed around a bottle

And we took a lot of swigs

    It's nature's plan

    To go on

    Down to Taco Land

    Taco Land

Just three quarters of a mile past the Rockwood exit

In beautiful downtown San Antonio, Texas

And who could forget Hennifer Lopez on South Park:
"I'll fullfill all your wishes with my taco-flavored kisses!"
"I love you Ben, you almost make me forget about tacos."

I'd be more impressed if he ate a taco on the air, live, and then came back an hour later.

"See, I'm fine! Go to Taco Bell! You know you want it!"
