Want a snack in flight? That'll be plastic, not paper.

Sharp ideas like that can get a man promoted to president of provisioning.

Sounds like someone's trying to make flying even more difficult.

They're not the first ones to do that, though I can't remember who else does at the moment. I actually think it's a decent idea, as it works quickly and does away with all that searching the cabin for change for a 20 nonsense.

How hard is it to accept exact change or credit? So they won't take your paper money if you have the exact amount? That's bogus.

Well, to play devil's advocate here for a minute. What if said flyer is a 16 year old and doesn't have a credit card yet (I'd love to see one who does, although it might scare me)? What are they supposed to do? Last I checked, very few people under college age don't have credit cards, don't have debit cards and aren't frequent flyers.

If I read it right, as though they won't take paper money at all ... that's crap.

Isn't it illegal to not accept U.S currency?

    I may have dreamt it.

Fine by me. They'll make much more money ... from me, at least.

What's even better is Horizon Air's free beer and wine. Solves the problem, and hey, free beer!

They have to do that to convince people to fly on prop planes over the Cascades.
