How much success have people had with this site? Maybe my computer is geriatric, but I'm not able to watch without a lot of starts and stops. I'm only on my first try, though.

Is there something special I should be doing?

Any downsides to using this? Spam, unwanted downloads...?

I use it quite a bit for shows where the networks take down the full episodes; 'Chuck' is a prime example. I haven't had much issues with it, tho I do have a MacBook FWIW.

Not sure how much overlap there is with shows, but if you're looking for a good "watch TV on my computer" site, check out hulu.com. It's pretty damn good.

Surfthechannel has options from which to watch a selected show from. Hulu is one mirror for them.
