    Arnold, the guy is asking for money. You don't ask for money if you're not hurting financially.

    Asking for money is how they make their money and always have. While I'm sure donations might be down for everyone due to the economy, this is no more an emergency plea than any PBS pledge drive. They'd be asking for this money no matter what. You made it sound like this is some crisis that has just hit wikipedia.

    I know of several Web sites that ask for donations, and none of them are hurting financially.
