Negative. Most of those were so I could pay for school.

Ace: Best Buy sucked. B&N was pretty good but only for the scenery. Delivering USA Today was probably the best, because it was 4 hours a night on open road with the radio. It was good until January and February when I had to deal with temps in the single digits or lower and drive with the window down.

I work on the desk at night and have for seven years.

Three and a half years ago, I figured I could work a p/t job during the morning/day to earn more money and get cheaper insurance.

I've been working at Starbucks since.
Great benefits (especially for part-timers) that are ridiculously cheap compared to what I would have to pay if I got insurance through the newspaper.
Also, all the free coffee I want at my store, 30% discount at any Starbucks I go to, and weekly tip money that's quick cash in my pocket.

Only bad thing is that I usually open the store (6 a.m.), which normally means one or two days a week I get about three hours sleep between jobs.
Taking naps has become a life-saver.

All interesting ideas. Thing is, I don't need that much, and an extra $65 for subbing one day a week would really make a big difference. And the big upside I see there is that I would pretty much get to chose which day I would work.
I do like the idea of private tutoring. That might worth looking into.
