Superintendent bars public, press from hoops game

    Did you forget your sarcasm font or were you just being clueless.

    A public school illegally takes away access, you fight it. Period.

    I'm not sure. The school is allowed to keep non-students/faculty out of the facility during school hours, so if they have that right, I assume said right would extend to extracurricular activities. Not that I agree with their decision, but they probably have a legal leg on which to stand.

    Public money, public facility.

    What if the Superintendent allowed the school board into the gym to watch the game "in case anything happened." Then it's a public meeting from which the public and press are barred, and illegal.

    The paper should have fought this harder.
