LTL, no reason given sounds ominous to me. It strongly suggests Ed is not well, because otherwise, he'd probably write why he wasn't going. I don't know he felt privately about the streak, but I know that in public he always dismissed it as no big deal.
I deeply hope my suspicion is wrong, and Ed just didn't feel like freezing his ass off in New York.

Excellent article by Joe Drape in the Times today on Vegas sports books and the Super Bowl. Of note is that the house in the collective sense sees the Seahawks as a better team than the Broncos but was swamped by Denver money -- much to the house's delight.

Is there anyone left who has been to all of them?

I think the guy in San Diego (spacing his name) had his streak ended a few years back.

Jerry Izenberg is one of three, I think.

I put this on the Pope thread, but Jerry Green wrote a column a couple of days ago and his tagline says he's one of two to have been to all of them.

It doesn't suggest anything. But you sure did.

I always root for his celebrity chef brother Rick to suddenly appear from off screen, smash him in the face with a cast iron skillet and then dump some homemade guac on his head.

Apparently, someone actually asked the Broncos' Shaun Phillips if this was a "must-win game."

That, and other silly questions from Media Day here:
