If only Ferragamo had seen Waddy all alone down the sideline.

Of those QBs, only Grossman and Eason really collapsed in the game. Even the other losers played from adequately to damn good (Delhomme).

Redskins were favored against the undefeated Dolphins, I didn't know that.

Wow. Niners were favored by 18.5 against the Chargers and covered.

Do you remember Al Michaels commenting on the cheers and groans in the two-thirds empty stadium at the end of the game as the Chargers drove for a meaningless (in one sense) final score?

Was it that 49ers-Chargers Super Bowl or the Giants-Ravens one where TV skipped a couple of the last plays to show some celebration, even as the losing team was driving and the O/U (or was it the line) hung in the balance? Nearly caused a riot in Vegas as I recall reading.

In Eason's defense, the entire Patriots' roster collapsed in that game.

He also told about 11 people (none reporters) the week before the game that the Pats' game plan gave them no chance. Not exactly Joe Namath's guarantee.

The opponent gave them no chance.

Yeah, the world knew that, but the opposing team isn't supposed to act like it knows it.
