I know he's not that old. But old enough.

Paul Harvey once read part of a prep feature I wrote on his program. This local nut -- everyone has them, writing 5,000 word letters to the editor every week, calling up just to chit chat for hours -- had gone to school with him and always sent him things. So one morning the reader calls in and says Harvey's going to mention my story on that day's program. He read a couple of lines (didn't credit me) and then moved on to the big tale and the rest of the story.

They also had Paul Harvey's name on the screen at the beginning of the commercial.

    Was it that bad?

Awful crop of commercials this year. Awful.

I liked the Hyundai one with the kid putting his team together.

The Go Daddy commercial is the only one I am going to remember in two weeks. That's the goal, right?

Thought Luke Donald raised a pretty good point last night.

The Dodge farmer spot was the best, IMO. The Clydesdale Bud ad was good, but gets docked for having Stevie Nicks bleating in the background.

Really? Wow... I just remember looking up when I heard it and I was kind of mesmerized by it, which with my attention span is not easy to do...

For a commercial like that one to be one of the most talked-about ones the next day really says a lot... Especially since it's usually the ones earlier in the game that are the most hyped.

Stevie has no idea what you're talking about.
