    The Times did not, or could not, sell the inside back cover of its magazine. I don't recall ever having seen this.

    Geez, make someone a deal. You may as well run a banner headline right across the top of page 1: Our advertising is in a freefall

    that's a big mistake. you start making deals too soon and no one pays full freight
