Sun Media joins the layoff party

Rumours that Sun Media is chopping 600 jobs across Canada today.
I've already heard of a friend getting whacked in Ontario, a newsroom vet of some 35 years.
Sun Media has had layoffs for years, I mean seriously gutted. I think after this there will only be like a handful of people in Toronto getting news and spreading it across the country to fill up their papers with the same content.
After today it will be bare bones. Not sure if it's better to be let go or staying on.
