I must not have the taste buds to appreciate good vodka, because this Grey Goose Pear is to me only marginally better than the Absolut Pears. It's a little smoother, but I couldn't imagine paying Grey Goose prices for it. I can barely taste the pear at all, which okay, pear is a subtle flavor, but you shouldn't have to hunt for it either.

But then all wine tastes like low-grade tequila to me, so what the fuck do I know from good liquor?

And later I realized what the problem was. I store my vodka and rum in the freezer, and when I poured the vodka, the pear stuff separated from the vodka. The last sip was like pear schnapps. I guess I need to shake it up next time instead of pouring it straight into the glass.
