    What is our profit margin?

If it's above 8 percent: Are you aware that's higher than Exxon's? Why are we laying people off?

"How much time will I have to pack up before the goons escort me out?"

"Do you guys really watch what Web sites we visit at work? What about what we download?"

    "Is underwear optional?"

I suppose, "Just what the fuck is it you guys think you're accomplishing with all this shit" is out of bounds?

Let me take SF's rather colorful query and translate it into a G-rated question:

"Has it ever occured to anyone that stripping our product of the people who make our product what it is isn't going to make anyone any money?"

Follow up: "Do you really think giving people less will make them come back? If someone you bought a service from gave you less and charged them the same amount, would you come back?"

Or "What do you plan to do to get us out of the vicious circle of declining profits resulting in layoffs, that result in a less desirable product, that result in more declining profits?"

But the profit margin question would be my first one. Followed by "Why don't you open the books so we'll really know just how bad things are, instead of having to trust the suits?"
