It's official: Terry Pluto leaving the Beacon Journal for the Plain Dealer. Major shakeup in NE Ohio.

that's crazy. Growing up up there, Pluto WAS the ABJ to me. I'm shocked by this.

But good for him. Good luck ABJ!

Holy Sheet! Like IJAG, growing up in Ohio, Pluto was the ABJ. Him working for the Plain Dealer will be beyond weird.

But good luck to him and the ABJ.

Didn't he come from the PD way back in the day? I seem to remember something vaguely in the back of my brain about that.

Yes, he once was the Indians beat writer for the PD.

That's a damn good pickup for the PD and a huge loss for the ABJ.

That's a huge loss for Akron, but it's good to know he's good enough to work at the Plain Dealer...

It seems like that's about all the ABJ has had is losses. It's amazing how far that paper appears to have fallen in recent years. It was arguably the best in Northeast Ohio over a decade ago, now, it's well behind the PD in my opinion.

Wow. Now it's definitely a good thing the ABJ kept McManamon on the Browns beat.

He IS good enough for The Plain Dealer.

And the ABS will soon be good enough to line the bottom of many bird cages.
