What's the age control in that study, though? The conventional wisdom has always been that you can sweat it off until age 35 or 40, but after that exercise doesn't do the trick. There have always been daily calorie recommendations based on age.

I'm not sure if this study sheds a whole lot of new light.

This is weight gain/loss in a nutshell:

If your intake is > output, you gain weight. If it is < output, you lose weight. That's the basics.

Drink a big cup of water instead of snacking on the bad stuff.
It can often trick your hunger pangs between meals and make you feel full again.
Not every time, maybe, but most of the time. A lot of those hunger pangs are in your head.

It still boils down to eat less and exercise more.

Sounds like he's got one great trick doctors don't want you to know about.

Doctors are wrong about this, and they've been wrong about it for a long time.

Dick, that reminds me. I've incorporated the carrying of 20-pound kettlebells into my treadmill workouts. You should try it.

I've been carrying 20-pound balls around for 44 years.

I've been rocking a high-fat, mid-protein, low-carb diet since January and have lost 27 pounds by staying in ketosis...and my mind clarity has never been better, not to mention I no longer need Monster drinks at 3 in the afternoon to finish the day.

I've actually shortened the treadmill workouts and have incorporated some serious weights into my morning workouts.
