Found this on Journalism Jobs. I think they also have magazines in Georgia, Ohio, Texas and a few other places so they might need help in those markets too:

Established magazine publishing company is seeking freelance writers to work on its 2018 Florida High School Football preview magazine (Friday Night Football Florida). Both the publisher and the magazine are well established and are only interested in professional writers and editors -- meaning we are seeking freelancers who are currently employed as full-time freelancers or high school beat writers.

This annual publication is published in July and is available on the newsstand. The magazine covers all 500-plus Florida high school football varsity teams.

To be considered as a freelance writer, you should currently be involved in covering Florida high school football or the Florida sports scene. Exceptions will be made for qualified candidates not based in Florida but able to put together concise, clean copy.

Additionally, we are interested in speaking with students currently enrolled in college and seeking internship opportunities.
