The Kerrville Daily Times is looking for a reliable freelancer to help cover the fall 2012 high school football season. This is a contract position, and writers will be paid according to the number of stories they produce. The job includes covering area football games on Friday nights and some feature stories during the week. Ideally, we'd like the stringer to start this summer and be available to cover games on some Tuesday nights during the school year. Newspaper experience is not required, but applicants should have sports knowledge, particularly of Texas high school football, and demonstrate strong writing ability. If you own a camera and are able to take quality photos, even better. Interested individuals should email news@dailytimes.com to tell us why you should be a part of our football coverage team. Those who submit relevant writing samples will be considered over others. Absolutely no phone calls, please.
