By the way, Stride gum surpassed Orbit as my No. 1. Stride holds flavor longer and you can blow some big bubbles.

But does it last as long as an everlasting gobstopper?

It's my gum of choice since someone turned me on to it in Spring Training. I like the packaging, too.

I love Gobstoppers, but have you noticed they don't last as long?

(setting myself up...) or maybe it's that I suck more now.

I stole a handful of Gatorade gum from the box in the dugout about 15 years ago. I was in an involuntary pucker mode for about three weeks.

    Anyone had those chocolate-dipped Altoids?

I've only had the cinnamon ones, but DAMN ... they are good.

Slow down there, Mr. Brimley... I went through some Big League Chew when I was a kid. Hell, I even hit with a wad of it stuffed in my front cheek, like George Brett.

Didn't inspire me to buy Skoal, Redman or Beechnut.

Anyway, I was hooked on Trident Splash there for a while, peppermint-vanilla. But a friend turned me on to Orbit.. more pieces, less price.. what's not to love?

Now, I might try this Stride...
