Gives his knees time to rest, probably a good move.

Tony Kornheiser is still awake in giddy anticipation of tomorrow's PTI.

    From wwl

Crazy Stat of Day: Derrick Rose has missed 103 games in the last 2 seasons. Tim Duncan has missed 97 games in his 18-season career.

At least 10 of those were probably when Popovich rested him.

The fan base can't get rid of him fast enough, honestly. He makes ridiculous comments about anticipating free agency and getting paid in answer to a question about a sexual assault civil case. Then, on day 2, he breaks his orbital bone. It's not like there's a lot he could have done to prevent that, but I think fans - and I count themselves among them - would select a 41-win team without the daily Derrick Rose injury drama over a 50-win team with it.

Personally, I think people should stop paying attention to anything he says. It clearly wasn't between the NBA and med school for this guy. But I can see why that gets tiresome, too.

Has anyone said how exactly he broke the orbital bone?

The last broken orbital bone I heard about, there was allegedly a bit of a tussle involved.

Supposedly elbowed during practice, but no one seems to know whose elbow caught him. Taj Gibson said it might have been him.

That sounds a little fishy. Seems like an orbital fracture is the kind of injury you'd notice right away and would be pretty easy to determine how it happened.
