    "Exchanging recipes and stuff," Romo said. "Guy talk. I don't know. We just talked about hunting or something. I told him NFL Network was going to have a heart attack if I didn't come over and say hi. They were running out of film waiting for it."

    Yeah, great story...only Romo said "Ed Werder" and not "NFL Network."

    Terrible.

    No idea. It was probably an NFL mandate to use "NFL Network."

    Maybe that's what it said on Romo's quote sheet, but he definitely said "Ed Werder."

    Not to rip that lead. It's a fine lead. But it's a twist on one that's been done 10,000 times before.

    "Things are really bad. so bad, in fact, that people would settle for just regular bad, not even hoping for good."

    I know this sounds like a rip. It's not. But I would be surprised if Wine filed that story thinking he had a real zinger.
