So I dug out "Nightmares and Dreamscapes," and there's one of my favorite King stories, "Crouch End." One of the most off-kilter stories I've ever read, with a creeping sense of dread pervading it, and reading it makes you feel like you were as a kid, too long on the outer reaches of the merry-go-round, head spinning, equilibrium compromised, your body and mind slightly detached, held by a tenuous thread, the world not the same, sound place it was before you hopped on for the ride.

    Yeah, I love that story.

  2. Bump.

King has a new book of short stories due out Nov. 11, "Just after Sunset"

We have a book reviewer who got an advance copy. She's giving it to me at the end of the week.

She was four stories in and said it was good.

    I can't wait.

Nice. I wonder how that retirement thing is working out for him?
