stephen a smith: an f'n joke

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by Eagles1 in London, Dec 13, 2007.

  1. Did anyone else see SAS do a fake walk off the air during the halftime show of the suns-jazz game? He walked off in mock disgust of the knicks, blah, blah, blah...

    i cannot for the life of me understand why he is still on the air. ESPN--do you not care about your fans over 30 anymore? He's a fucking loudmouth, egocentric asshole and has to be the most annoying person on your air (and that's saying something). Please, for the love of god, stop putting him in front of a camera

    And yet, because you watch him, they'll keep putting him on...

  4. hey--i'm just trying to enjoy a decent nba game--i didn't ask for espn to throw this shit at me. i'm an nba fan but it's getting near impossible to stomach their analysis anymore....watching games on mute and avoiding halftime shows seems to be the only way to enjoy espn anymore

    Sort of agreeing with what Eagle's saying. You know ESPN...they don't present things to you so much as they shove them down your gullet with a spoonful of Castor oil.

    I remember a little over a week back when they broke the news of Barry Bonds being indicted, and one of the first people they went to was Stephen A. Smith. Never mind the fact that Stephen A. Smith talking baseball is like Bill Cosby pontificating on the finer points of making gangsta rap records...I wasn't watching for Smith, yet Smith was forced into my viewing cavity just the same.

    ESPN uses their "personalities" like porn websites use up close shots of gaping anals...no one of sound mind and body really likes such things, but thar they be just the same. *

    * So I've been advised.

    Sorry, actually I flashed back to 2002-2003 or something. The first really great, long running thread this site had.

    gaping anals could be the name of a fantasy porn team.

    Yep, set an attendance record yet again this year. In its death throes for sure.

    Did you consider that he did not tune in specifically for Smith, but instead to watch, oh I don't know, the actual game? Smith's schtick is a side aggravation forced on those who try to watch NBA games on ESPN.
