And I suppose it's possible he's topped out. I think he'll keep going up. Don't think it'll translate to Congress, but Obama's numbers still can grow.

Bachmann appointed herself the "Tea Party" spokesperson and has decided to give her own response.

CNN has said they will carry it.

The GOP is not happy with Bachmann or CNN.

I just think it's an interesting question. It probably will go up about the same as can be expected.

Obama has always -- well, as long as he's been on the scene -- been personally more popular than either his own policies and/or the rest of his party.

He comes across -- most of the time -- as likable and smart, and as Moddy said, he generally gives a terrific speech.

 

I suppose a lot of it depends on the (personal) popularity of the president and his momentum going into the speech.

 

Political views aside, is there a congressperson hotter than Bachman?
