It's been a long time since the vice president hasn't been in the race to succeed a two-term president.

And why on earth were earmarks totally OK when the GOP was in control, but now they're the tool of the devil and a sign of all that plagues our great nation? I also enjoy how he's going to say he'll veto any budget bill that doesn't cut earmarks by 50 percent. As though he's going to have the opportunity to veto any budget bills.

 

I'd have preferred Dvorak or even Stravinsky. But we do our best.

 

I never knew this before--there are no assigned seats for Congress?

Do they save seats for their friends? When someone really unpopular comes in, does everyone shift around nervously and mutter, 'sorry, seat's taken....'
