    Yeah, Granholm had nothing better to do at this point. The state government was 15 hours away from shutting down. I'm glad she has her priorities straight.

    Very similar case in Britain, where two female police officers were trading off watching each other's kids. Argument was that they were essentially paying each other for child care with child care.

    Makes no sense on the face of it, but the rules that exist regarding unlicensed child-care centers exist for a reason. It's difficult to get a child-care license, and it should be. You have to draw a line somewhere, though it's apparent that the line was drawn a bit heavy-handedly in the Michigan case.
