And it appears that the Sens usual playoff anthem singer, Constable Lyndon Slewidge of the Ontario Provincial Police. has been dumped for Monday night's game for Alanis freaking Morrisette.

Lyndon is a smarmy douchebag but he's been doing Ottawa playoff games for years.

Likely nother example of the NHL bending over for NBC.

It just dawned on me, though, that he is combining his touching of the trophy with a refusal to grow a playoff beard. It's almost as if he WANTS to lose. ;D

I tried. Of course, Pens were done, though, before it even really had a chance.

This is the longest I've ever had one, naturally. Then again, my home team's never been 2 wins away from the Cup before.

    Still quotin' Double J? :)

Heading to Flesherton for the game tonight?

  8. Can existing beards be declared playoff beards, or do you have to shave it off and start again?

I can't think of a player who has a beard during the regular season.

    They're so, like 1970's.

Ask me, I had the greatest Grizzly Adams beard in all of Canuckistan.

Chris Kunitz has been cleared to play for the Ducks. Not sure if he'll play much tonight, but he's likely to be thrown into the mix tonight for some minutes. He's a definite weapon for Anaheim.

Pronger suspended for Game 4, according to ESPNNews.

The last time the Wings won the Cup, they had the trophy presentation on ice. And Yzerman picked up the Campbell Conference trophy and carried it right into the lockerroom. No celebration or holding it over the head, but he did carry it.
