Stills is a very big fan of all sports, and always has been. There are, and believe me have been, worse choices for the Anthem.

The alternative was Jim Nabors on video, asking the crowd to sing it.

Well, Damien Cox isn't too optimistic about the Sens being able to handle the Ducks physical play:

    Now, these are cruel words:

In fact, the Sens looked a little intimidated, or perhaps surprised, by the ferocity of the Ducks, evoking memories of the days when the Maple Leafs, usually featuring Gary Roberts, would push the Sens around during the playoffs.

The Sens believe those days are gone, but the fact is the Ducks present a much more ornery group to deal with than the Penguins, Devils or Sabres, Ottawa's previous opponents in these playoffs.

Anaheim, after all, is hoping to become the first team since the 1975 Broad Street Bullies to lead the NHL in penalties and win the Cup.

Sorry I didn't post this before the start of the series, but the Orange County Register ran this list of media picks for who'll win the Cup:

Kevin Allen, USA Today -- Ducks in 7
    Scott Burnside, ESPN.com -- Sens in 6
Cameron Cole, Vancouver Sun -- Sens in 6
Eric Duhatschek, The Globe and Mail -- Sens in 6
Paul Hunter, Toronto Star -- Sens in 6
Terry Jones, Edmonton Sun -- Ducks in 5
Pierre LeBrun, Canadian Press -- Sens in 6
Barry Melrose, ESPN -- Ducks in 6
Tim Panaccio, Philadelphia Inquirer -- Sens in 6
Allen Panzeri, Ottawa Citizen -- Sens in 7
Michael Russo, Minn. Star-Tribune -- Sens in 6
Mark Spector, National Post -- Sens in 5
Tim Wharmsby, Toronto Sun -- Sens in 6
Ed Willes, Vancouver Province -- Sens in 6

Sounds like the headline most of these papers want to write is ... Sens' Sixth Sense

Wharnsby left the Toronto Sun for the Globe, what, two years ago?

The Register's list was printed on Monday morning. Perhaps the OCR isn't as well versed on the Canadian papers. heck, given how many Canadian-born players there are on the Ducks roster perhaps the papers in Canada should have voted that way to look like the homers they are on that list.

    Go Canada!

Sixty Zillion people (give or take) watch American Idol. 60 people watch the NHL in the U.S.

Chances are, if Sanjaya or whoever was doing the anthems, some AI fans would actually watch the game.
