    Are they not replacing Romano? Maybe Tom Jones can contribute full-length columns occasionally? Maybe they're planning on having Rick Stroud and Marc Topkin to do more analysis?

    I didn't even consider that the Times would go with just Shelton on sports columns when I saw Romano was going to Metro.

    I'm sure some other guys might provide analysis pieces, but I'd be surprised if they replace Romano per se. In other words, some big championships (without Florida team representation) won't get the on-site columnist treatment, as the paper often did with him.
