Hi folks ... back again. Posting last summer led me to a number of qualified people and ultimately landed me a solid senior editor off the desk of the San Diego Union-Tribune. We now have a new spot open on our desk here in L.A., hopefully to be filled by someone who has worked on the Internet before.

We're set up with me, two senior editors, three senior associate editors and four associate editors. This spot would give us four people in the mid-range. At various times, senior associate editors manage Page 1, serve as news editor/dealer/desk chief, build out staff-generated capsule pages, manage special packages, etc.

There's a lot of room to get creative, if you're comfortable with HTML, Homesite, Photoshop and other web content-creation tools. And there's room to grow.

    Posting is here: http://nfl.kenexa.com/nfl/cc/Home.ss?ccid=bupJEdUjsTs%3D

Click on "Search Jobs" on the right side, and look for job No. 7642.

Feel free to PM me if you want, but I can't guarantee a quick response. Still a little busy around these parts.

    Thanks,

    Jim Loftus
    Managing Editor, NFL.com

    Jim:
Does this position entail living in/moving to L.A.? If so, why?
