More importantly, so did Kofaux. Kofaux spent the day chatting with Pedro and teaching Wagner how to throw a curve.

and consented to rare interview with Kevin Kiernan.

Kiernan has had good run - in span of 2 days he "gets" Koufax and Steinbrenner.

Kofaux talked to all the NY papers. But that takes nothing away from Kevin, who is one hell of good guy.

A few years back he did a real good book on Jack Mckeown. It was a great read.

Nah they'll be fine. He should be ready by opening day or shortly there after. Hopefully, unlike Aprils of recent past, the Phils can start off strong and won't need a closer much early on.

I wouldn't read too much into this, but it would make a huge splash for the franchise.

Twins fans help us out, and I know there's Rosie and a few others, what do you expect out of Francisco Liriano this season and when will he be ready?

Eh, it's a big bat in the middle of the lineup. And as Olney noted in his blog, it would be a pretty good lineup to go with some good young pitching.

He would probably also put some bums in seats at Tropicana Field, which would be a big thing for a franchise that has never drawn consistently unless the Red Sox or Yankees are in town.
