Tewk is the Red Sox's psychology coach? That's awesome.

You CAN throw 72 mph and win 18 games. You CAN throw 72 mph and win 18 games. Repeat and visualize. Repeat and visualize.

    Oh, no doubt.

Just, you know, not sure how that makes him qualified to be a "psychology coach." Or how that makes him much different from a pitching coach.

  5. At least one Nats OF starts the season on the DL - whether they are hurt or not. Count on it.

  6. Craig Hansen = John Brown

The metaphor is the North and South vs the Red Sox relationship to Scott Boras.

Buchholz pales in comparison to Justin Masterson in my opinion

After retiring, Tewksbury received a Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology and Counseling from Boston University. He's actually been in this role since 2005.

Very interesting interview with Baseball Prospectus from March 2007:

    That just blew my mind.

As for Buchholz vs. Masterson: Masterson will have a really good career, but Buchholz has no. 1 potential, even after last year. I know the Sox need a catcher, but given Theo's fondness for his prospects, I don't see him trading Buchholz for even Saltalamacchia.

The Rangers have two better catchers waiting -- Taylor Teagarden probably should start this year.

It was impossible to fit his name on to the uniform?

Well, that or because they already had eight All-Star catchers in their system.

Anyway, they just loaned him Spooneybarger's uni that time.

Spooneybarger! Has he come back from his 19th Tommy John surgery yet?
