I'm glad TNT gives the film its due by editing out the f-bombs, but nothing else. I'm not the biggest fan of gory violence, but portraying D-Day and the days following in gruesome detail gives a glimpse of the level of sacrifice those soliders made.

I'm fascinated by the beach landing scene, and I thought Tom Sizemore was great, but the rest of the film doesn't do that much for me. And the appearance of Ted Danson is always jarring for some reason.

    (I ask honestly, because I don't know...)

Has Sizemore done anything that's as close to as good as his role in this movie?

  6. He had a small but similar role in Black Hawk Down.
