    The Permian thing was kind of sad, but Amarillo's an okay town. The climate's pretty easy to take, there are plenty of flights in and out of there and you all that far from mountain pleasures in NM/CO. Even the worst city of 200,000 is hardly an outpost, and there are plenty of places worse to be than Amarillo.
