    It was worse before. Look through the Elias baseball books in the '80s. That's when you would get the, "Batted .300 in night games played on a Wednesday" stats that were absolutely meaningless.

    That's the kind of thing that would have been a bullet point at the end of a story 10 years ago. And that is fine. It's a bit interesting.

    Somehow this stuff became worthy of three minutes of broadcast time with a panel of four analysts breaking it down.
