    If you're wondering about cost of living...

    My wife and I typically drive through York on the way to my hometown. On our last trip north, we spotted a billboard in York that read: "You Can Own a Luxury Townhouse for $100,000!!!"

    We chucked for the next 10 minutes.

    Likely won't, Jeff, given the fact that my career's headed down a different path now, I'm pretty damn happy where I'm at and I'm not relishing a third cross-state move in a year.

    This is a great gig for someone looking to move up from their first paper. Any fears of the Dispatch being offed in the near future are unfounded, in my book, given that people in York are really loyal to their rags. Circulation likely will continue eroding, very slowly, but for the most part it's staying stable. In many ways, it's much more stable than the Daily Record.

    And, of course, who can turn down having their Fridays and Saturdays off?
