The Steamboat Springs Pilot and Today is looking for a sports reporter and magazine writer. It's a 10K circ free daily (tab during the week, broadsheet on Sunday). A friend who works there said the job is posted on jjobs, but all I see is an add for a magazine writer for the paper.

    Company: Steamboat Pilot & Today
    Position:
    Energetic magazine reporter wanted
    Location:
    Steamboat Springs, Colorado
    Job Status: Full-time
    Salary: Negotiable
    Ad Expires:
    October 30, 2008
    Job ID: 862105
    Website: http://www.steamboatpilot.com

    Description:
The Steamboat Pilot & Today is seeking an aggressive, hard-working reporter for its magazine division. Responsibilities will include writing for a quarterly style/living magazine and several other monthly and annual magazine and special section products. Experience is preferred; however, recent college graduates with at least one magazine or newspaper internship will be considered. Work for a great company and in a great location. Steamboat Springs is a growing resort town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. We want to fill this position quickly, so if you are ready to go to work for one of the best community media companies anywhere, contact Editor Brent Boyer at bboyer@steamboatpilot.com, or send your resume and clips to P.O. Box 774827, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477.

Very expensive up there. Absolutely gorgeous, of course.

Both sports and a magazine position are open. It's not easy to live there, but it's not impossible.

    PM with any questions.
