    Description:

    Newly formed family owned weekly newspaper in Star City, Arkansas, The Delta Star, is seeking an energetic sports writer who understands local sports coverage from little league, high school, college, and beyond. You will be responsible for all sports coverage, which is mostly local, local, local! You will cover some University of Arkansas at Monticello and Fayetteville sports, along with NFL coverage of local star DT Cedric Thornton of the Philadelphia Eagles. You must be experienced with InDesign, working on a Mac platform, and various document programs. Experience with uploading content to the website, video/photography, and social networking media is a plus. The successful applicant will have prior newspaper experience, whether it be on the college newspaper, internship, or other paid position. We are looking to fill this spot immediately.
