The Kerrville Daily Times, approximately 60 miles northwest of San Antonio, seeks a sports writer and designer to join our night desk. Must-have skills include proficiency in InDesign, an understanding of newspaper design and a firm grasp of AP style. The position includes working with news and features, proofing pages and uploading daily to the website. This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate looking to gain experience in all aspects of the newspaper. Send three writing clips, three design clips and resume to Managing Editor Mark J. Armstrong at news@dailytimes.com.

You'd probably get to design an "RIP Johnny Manziel" front page at some point, being that Kerrville is his hometown.
