    Description:

    Sports writer is integral part of two-person sports staff, working under supervision of the sports editor. Writer's responsibilities generally include live and telephone coverage of local prep sports for five high schools in our circulation area. One evening per-week, and on occasions when the sports editor is away or off, the sports writer is charged with story selection, layout and design of the sports section.

    Madisonville is about an hour south of Evansville, Ind./Henderson, Ky. It's been a while since I've seen a copy of it, but (before anyone asks) there are no major colleges in its coverage area.
