I'm still curious about whether overtime is time-and-a-half or "half-time" at this place

Pretty much everywhere in the world, "paid as overtime" means being paid time-and-a-half. Then when someone points out that "paid as overtime" at that paper in the past has been far, far less than time-and-a-half and asks if that is still the case, the current staffer clams up.

Maybe it's me and I'm making too much of it, but I think that warrants an answer, and silence on that question does not reflect well on that paper.
