The Indiana Gazette, a family-owned 15,000-circulation p.m. daily located in a beautiful western Pennsylvania college town about 45 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, seeks a talented sports writer who can deliver local game stories and features and design well-crafted sports sections. Candidates for this important position must have editing and layout experience, proficiency with QuarkXpress under deadline pressure, an impeccable command of AP style and the qualities needed to work closely with other staffers. We're serious about what we do, which shows in our consistently outstanding performance in annual journalism contests (19 awards garnered this spring alone.) We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. Mail resume and work samples to The Indiana Gazette, c/o Executive Editor Eric Ebeling, 899 Water St., Indiana, Pa., 15701, or e-mail electronic materials to eebeling@indianagazette.net. No phone calls please.
