    The Evening Telegram, a daily newspaper located in Herkimer, New York, has an opening for an energetic, experienced and well-rounded sports editor/writer. The position will focus heavily on local high school and local college sports. Duties include game coverage, feature and enterprise writing, and photography and copy editing. Applicants should be familiar or able to learn Quark 6 and NewsEdit Pro. The position will require copy editing, page design and laying out the sports section.

    The Evening Telegram offers a competitive salary, 401K, paid vacation, health, dental and vision coverage

    FYI, from what I understand, your starting salary likely will be your salary for a while, as the company has been on a wage freeze for 3 years now, and there is no company match for that 401K.

    This lists copy editing twice. Maybe they wanted to stress that you'll die of exhaustion from copy editing. Also, you have to design pages AND lay out the sports section...

    I would think you would just design the section on the computer, rather than laying it out on paper.
