    This sports writing position would be for the Herald Times in Bedford, Indiana. PT, about 30 hours a week with some benefits. Below is the job description as well as how to apply. Check it out!



    Daily coverage of local sports teams, including writing, editing, reporting and travel

    • Beat writing experience, reporting
    • Working under extreme deadlines
    • 5-7 years

    Education: • Bachelor’s Degree

    Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Essential writing, reporting and editing journalism skills
    • Working knowledge of relevant college sports

    Essential Functions:
    • Write about and report on assigned local sports team
    • Travel
    • Other duties such as editing, designing and reporting within the Sports department

    Working Conditions:
    • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, repetitive motion
