Sports writer - Danville Register & Bee

    Which is why I said what I said.

    I do know that many of the locals resent having the decisions of what goes into the "local" paper made 70 miles away.

    That being said, Danville is a good local sports town that really supports its prep sports. Robert Benson runs what's left of the newsroom and is a good person to work with.

    I thought Chris ran the department from Lynchburg.

    Robert is based in Danville, and is the editor of the R&B

    Which is why I asked my question meat.
    It would appear that the regional SE will make the hiring decision but the other guy is running the department.

    The regional SE is running the department. The "other guy" is the managing editor for the R&B. If Chris is the point man for resumes, there's a good chance he's the guy who makes the decision.

    there have been some pretty doggone good ones come through danvegas and they've all had the biscuitville (or biscuit world in west virginia) internship.
